Chairman Scholarship Fund

The Chairman’s Scholarship Fund at Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology (GJIMT) has been established to support deserving students through a Merit-cum-Means Scholarship. This initiative reflects our commitment to making quality education accessible by providing financial relief to students who demonstrate both academic excellence and financial need.

Purpose

The scholarship aims to:

• Encourage and reward outstanding academic performance.
• Support students from financially challenged backgrounds.
• Reduce the burden of tuition fees through fee waivers.
• Ensure that no deserving student is denied education due to financial constraints.

Eligibility Criteria

Students applying for the Chairman’s Scholarship Fund must:

• 1. Meet the institution’s academic excellence criteria.
• 2. Provide documented proof of financial need, demonstrating inability to pay full tuition fees.

Application Process

• Students must submit a formal request along with supporting documents, including:
  • Academic transcripts.
  • Proof of family income.
  • A written statement explaining financial need.
• Applications are to be submitted to the Scholarship Committee for evaluation.

Evaluation & Approval

• The Scholarship Committee—comprising the Director, Director (Placements & International Education), Dean (Academics), and Heads of Departments—reviews applications on the basis of:
  • Academic performance.
  • Financial background.
• After evaluation, recommendations are forwarded to the Director/Chairman for final approval.
• Approved tuition fee waivers are processed by the Accounts Department.

Decision Authority

The final decision regarding the scholarship award rests with the Management of GJIMT.

• Scholarships are granted on a merit-cum-means basis.
• The number and amount of awards depend on the availability of funds.
• The decision of the Management is final and binding.
